Susan Ralston, Citizens for Responsible Solar

When Culpeper County was threatened by a giant, 3,000-acre industrial solar complex, Citizens for Responsible Solar turned to Shirley & McVicker for help. They put together a comprehensive grassroots campaign under the auspices of our organization. Shirley & McVicker created and executed a complete campaign strategy to achieve our goals of educating the public and defeating this solar project. It was an uphill battle but the sustained barrage of polling, social media posts, local and regional interviews, flyers, op-eds and recruited support from high-profile people, we were victorious and have been a model campaign for other grassroots groups around the country.
