MIAMI HERALD REPORTER TO GOP: DROP DEAD
Are Herald reporter’s anti-Trump tweets a sick joke or offensive in the extreme? Will she be reprimanded by Herald bosses or do they agree with her twisted rage?
Washington, DC- The nation’s oldest media bias watchdog group Accuracy in Media (AIM), under the leadership of President Adam Guillette, has issued an action alert calling attention to Miami Herald reporter Fabiola Santaigo, and her recent derogatory posts on social media, wherein she writes that “packed beaches should work nicely to thin the ranks of Trump/DeSantis/Gimenez supporters in #Florida who value money over health.”
Accuracy in Media has called on the public to take action against such remarks, firing off thousands of calls to local Florida residents to alert them to such commentary. Accuracy in Media is urging those called to in turn call the Miami Herald and demand an explanation from their editorial management.
The mainstream media has inaccurately portrayed the re-opened beaches of Jacksonville, Florida as much more concentrated with people than they actually are, including old stock photos found on the internet.
Adam Guillette asserted the following: “At a time when they’re requesting a taxpayer bailout, it is morally outrageous for a longtime reporter and editor to be wishing for the deaths of readers. The Herald owes us an explanation of how they plan to handle this.”
